Home/Services & facilities

Services & facilities

Wi-Fi, left luggage, forex, medical help, accessibility and everything else — with the prices and phone numbers that are actually published.

Connectivity

Free airport Wi-Fi

Connect to #MumbaiAirportWiFi, open a browser and the login page loads.

  1. With a working phone number

Enter an active local or international mobile number. An OTP arrives by SMS — enter it and you are online.

  2. No SIM, no roaming

Go to an information desk or Wi-Fi kiosk with photo ID: passport for international passengers, or driving licence, PAN card or Aadhaar for domestic. ID verification is mandatory under Department of Telecommunications rules — it is not the airport being difficult.

Kiosks are on Level 2 arrivals, Level 3 domestic and Level 4 international departures.

About the "30 minutes free" claim

You will find this repeated across travel sites. The airport does not publish a time limit on its current Wi-Fi page, and the 30-minute figure appears to date from an older Tata Docomo arrangement.

Plan as if it may be time-limited: download boarding passes, offline maps and anything you need before you rely on it.

Money

Currency exchange, ATMs and tax

Currency exchange

Operators at CSMIA are EBIX Cash, Akbar Forex, SBI and Weizmann Forex.

  • EBIX Cash — T2 Level 4 check-in, Level 3 domestic, post-immigration near Gate 69, Level 2
  • Akbar Forex — T2 arrivals Level 2 and the departures security hold area
  • SBI and Weizmann — T2 arrivals Level 2

ATMs

Available 24 hours across both terminals, in arrivals, departures and on the city side before security.

Banks represented include IndusInd, Bank of Baroda, Kotak Mahindra, SBI, DBS, Union Bank of India and Citibank.

No tourist tax refund

India has no operational GST refund scheme for departing visitors. The provision exists in law but no procedure has been notified and there are no refund counters.

The saving is instead built into prices at stores beyond immigration — so buy there rather than in the city.

Baggage

Left luggage, wrapping and porters

Left luggage / cloak room

  • Help phones with braille markings at arrivals, the security hold area and departures
  • Accessible information desks staffed by passenger service representatives
  • Buggy transport within the terminal via the paid Pranaam service
No sunflower lanyard programme documented Several Indian airports run the hidden-disabilities sunflower scheme. CSMIA's special assistance page makes no mention of it, so do not assume staff will recognise a lanyard here.

Pranaam meet & greet

The airport's own paid VIP assistance service, for arrivals, departures and transits, in three tiers — Elite Plus, Elite and Platinum — plus the standalone Skycap porter product.

Typically includes a personalised escort through formalities, baggage handling and buggy transport within the terminal, with lounge access on premium tiers.

Lost property

If you have left something behind

  1. Report it online

Use the airport's lost-and-found portal with your name, contact details, the date and place of loss, a description, the terminal and your flight number.

  2. Or go to the counter

T1: departures level, next to the airport police station, Santacruz East — +91 9930144272.
    T2: ground transportation lobby, Level 1, Sahar — +91 9619050580.

  3. Collect within the window

Items are held at the airport for 24 hours, then moved to a warehouse. Collection is 09:30–17:30, closed on 2nd and 4th Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. Bring government photo ID and your boarding pass; an authorisation letter if collecting for someone else.

Left on the aircraft? That is the airline's problem Checked baggage and items left on board are the airline's responsibility, not the airport's. Contact your carrier directly.
The airport will not post it to you CSMIA's lost-property policy explicitly excludes courier and postal services. Someone has to collect in person. Perishables are held up to 48 hours or until expiry.
